Went out last weekend with a friend to Entiat. We went up Crum Canyon Rd and saw signs posted for No Hunting (which lead us to believe we were in the right place!). We just couldn't find the public land up there and as it started to get dark we quit wandering around the area.
We stayed in Leavenworth and headed out Eagle Creek Rd on the recommendation of a local. We didn't see or hear a single bird out there. We know that Colville is the "hot spot" but didn't want to drive that far from over here on the west side of the state. Not looking for anyone to give up a honey-hole, just want to know if we're even in the right area? I'd like to take my son out after we can scout out a spot.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Theres scattered birds both of those areas. Try just a little furthur south in the Colockum. A lot more birds than people realize in there if you know the birds preferred hangouts :chuckle:

Saw Turkeys and Turkey sign in the Tarpiscan area of the Colockum more than a year ago. probably more of them there now. Saw 8 of them run across the dirt road not 30 seconds after 3 bird hunters and their dogs went through the area. I was amazed at how smart they are!
