I just realized that we had not seen any fawns yet this year. Anyone seen any?
-
Usually the first week in June, so it may be anytime now. For rut planning, count back ~200 days and you can loosely figure out when does were bred in that area ;)
-
by this time last year we were seeing fawns in Eburg so its seems a little later is all.
-
Ive seen 12 does in the last week scouting. None had new fawns. 2 still had last years with them.

We were at the beach this weekend and got back last night. Got up for coffee this morning and looked out the window and across the way saw mom and new baby. Look's to be born this weekend. She usually has two so I don't know what's going on but this looks healthy. I was watching her the other day and she was running the yearlings off so she was letting them know it's time to be on their own. I just hope this one survives.

Been seeing them for over a week now. Just born. They are still shaky when walking.
-
Saw one newborn calf elk on May 22 then saw two newborn mule deer fawns on May 23. Earliest date I have seen either.
-
I have not seen any yet but heard of a few being seen around the area. It would be better for all if they could wait until the weather warms up a bit anyway.
-
I've seen newborn fawns the last 3 years Memorial Day weekends down outside of Pomeroy. Didn't go this year but we're going in 2 weeks. We'll see what we see then. They surely would be out and about by then.
-
My husband saw twin blacktails on I-5 between Lynden and Seattle (going to the Mariner's game) today! I rode horse all weekend in the hills and never saw a one!
-
None of the Doe we seen this weekend had fawns yet in Winthrop, but the doe have chased away the yearlings for now so they must be close. Up on sweetgrass Saturday night we seen 6 deer together, all yearlings.
-
I saw several calf elk over the weekend. No fawns as of yet.
-
Lots of thick does, have not seen fawns yet.

It's early yet. Wait a week or a week and a half, then they'll be poppin' out. I've been seeing a lot of very pregnant does . . . both Mulies and Whitetails.

Sorry, didn't get pics of the elk calf, but he wasn't much bigger than these two newborn fawns that could barely stand up.

Ive seen 2 in poulsbo and kingston this week.
-
Saw a doe with a pair of brand-new fawns out at Washington Park in Anacortes this past weekend. They looked brand new as momma was still licking them clean.

Saw doe with 1 fawn that I could see this morning on the tulalip rez crossing marine dr

I've only seen two fawns, but they were twins with their mother.
-
Love this time of year for fawns ;)
-
I saw 11 does today, 6 of them were very pregnant. Looked like they could pop any minute.
-
I almost tagged a little fawn with my truck tonight.
-
Saw mule twins May 29 east of Odessa. A Doe was down in a dry creek bed knee deep in grass and then two small heads pop up out of the grass to look around.
-
I was working on Vashon Island today and saw my first fawn of the year along with a lot of other deer. It actually looked like the fawn might of been at least a few days old. All the old guys used to say you could expect the fawns and elk calves in the last week of May and the first week of June....give or take a bit.....................Les
