My brother and I will be hitting the 'Nooch Sunday.  We'll be drifting from the White Bridge to the Cross-over Bridge.  It's only a couple of miles of river, but we fish it hard, and it's been pretty good to us.

we counted something like 29 drift boats passing black creek on the opener last year...i think the next day it was something like 4 :chuckle:

that's what i like about fishing that river in the summer, the fish trickle in and there's no big push all at once so you've got a shot at catching something from june-october.

Anybody fish Andersons Bar on the cowlitz lately? Thats the gravel bar on the other side of the clay banks below blue creek. If so How much lead have you been using to stay down? Like 3/4 0r 1oz bank sinkers or will pencil lead work? Havnt fished that drift in years, might hit it this weekend!

I am lucky. Hardly anyone fishes my river, although there is a reason for that (not many fish :chuckle: )

Is anyone thinking about going glo-balling at 12:00 A.M. for the opener :dunno: I have never tried it, and am very tempted...

-No just gonna float down in the drift boat and fish from the bank, that will be my first hole to fish! Just need to know if i need to pick up some bank sinkers to stay down, I hate using 2inches of pencil lead..

Flow has been pretty stable at around 5100. Not exactly summer low. I'd guess you might need at least 2 inches of lead. Better to be prepared.

Notice!  All rivers on the west end of the OP are puking whole trees and mud.  Not expected to clear up for a least three weeks.
