Has anyone heard anything about the lower Puyallup opening for the Pink season? I heard that the Puyallup Tribe wants 127 days of fishing. Anyone know what is up?

Ya thats what i was hearing. 7 days a week night and day netting is what they want with no recreational fishing. Wdfw with probably give it to them and screw us over some more to. Just plain greedy. Over 1.2 million pinks which is a record run and no date set for us. Gosh darn peckers
Skokomish has no season set either. Two major rivers not open will make a lot of mad fishermen and cause more conflict then what they say they are trying to avoid.

that is a huge fishery. it would take alot out of the local economy if they didnt open the lower river. :twocents:

Never fear, we will see the fish...................just dumped by the truck load after being sliced open for eggs then dumped on the ground.

What I have heard on a different forum Pretty much dedicated to the Puyallup is that they are looking for 54 days of netting which isn't to much of a change (Sun,Mon,Tue) from like August thru nov., but I think what they may be reaching for is 24 hours on those days with NO sportfishing during netting timeframes
Then something else about if they don't get what the ask for they will deny access to the banks on all tribal lands from the White to the mouth :bash: :bash:
All just talk and rumors for now, I guess we will just have to wait and see

Sounds better than what i heard. But they are still being greedy about things
