success ratio?
that would be my guess.

I would hate to eat that tag, that would be disappointing.
-
I'd rather eat the tag than shoot some of the bucks I've seen come out of there. It's not the guaranteed big buck tag some people think it is.

:yeah:

Was out flingin arrows out there today then saw brown move way out in the distance. Got up on a hill an was looking through my binos, saw a nice buck w/ some good mass buldin on him... sat and watched him feed along.

A lot of those bucks are on private property

Interesting comments. I live over here and we hunt Yotes all over, specifically near Moses. We counted almost 50 BIG Bucks in one night in the desert, and it honestly they seemed they got bigger and bigger with every group we saw. No joke we counted almost 80 deer in one area. Alot of tall nice wide racks.

Not much experience with this unit, but I imagine it's like any other that has large amounts of private land. Once the first shot is fired on opening day, the older, smarter deer generally retreat to the private ground where there is less activity. They may venture off in the pitch dark, but probably lay low during the daylight hours. I imagine the rut gets them cruising again, but aside from that I would guess that a lot of the better bucks out there are on private land during when there is hunting activity. :dunno:

Bet you have some dandy sheds to share!

Maybe people draw it and think it's going to be easy. They then realize youv'e got to hike your ass off in the dunes, and maybe they don't give it a good effort. Or, they hold out for bigger bucks, and it just doesn't happen for them.

I haven't actually ever shed hunted, thought about it with all the bucks I see and all the cool pictures on here.
-
If you know where the bucks are then 10 percent of the work is done :chuckle: careful though, it is addicting! Then it becomes another season on your calendar and more space gone in your house or garage. Or... You could skip all that misery and point me the way on where to find some sheds. I'll take the pain for you bro! :chuckle:

We have even seen some mashers on the north side of I-90 in Mae Valley. They are hanging out near any russian olive thickets by ag fields. They are for sure spreading their range.
