Title: Practice
Post by: Russ McDonald on June 02, 2013, 05:27:19 PM
So I bought a Trophy Ridge single pin slider and put it on my bow.  My bow is a Reflex/Hoyt Bighorn, 29" draw and maxed out measured at 75lbs.  Got a whisker biscuit for a rest, shooting Carbon Express Mayhems 340's or Carbon Express Crush 240's cut to 29" valley of nock or what ever cabelas cut them too.  100 gr field tips and 100 gr MX 3 Muzzy's.  So just got done practicing out to 30 yards, my yard I can't go any further.  The things is no matter what arrow I am shooting with field points I am shooting the same groups.  Heavier arrows are right in the same group as the lighter arrows.  Would I get more of a change the farther out I go?  I am not an avid practicer so I thought I would ask you all what you thought.

I'd say yes for sure. More arrow flight time for the change in flight to take place. Too close a range to make a difference.
