Title: Anyone shoot the elite pure?
Post by: hogslayer on June 03, 2013, 07:43:38 AM
I have a 31.5 inch draw and am in the on going process of finding a bow that has a good draw cycle for that length.   I bought a alpine roxstar this year and am not impressed with there long draw modules and the steep valley they have at the end of the cycle that gives it a "thud" sound when you hit the wall.  I have been looking at the elite pure and it seems like a real nice bow.   Anyone shoot or have one of these in a long draw?

I have shot it at a shorter draw length, has a very smooth draw cycle and feels great in the hand. The draw cycle hits peak weight sooner and drops off into the valley very nice and its rock solid at full draw. The shot has a little more of a thump to it over the other Elite bows that I shot but that was due to the limbs not being as parallel. You wouldn't be disappointed in the bow at all and it would be a huge improvment over the Alpine IMO.

Good post. I own the Elite Pure my self. 31 inch draw. The draw cycle is one of the best of all the bows Ive messed with. Ive messed with alot of bows too.
Its not as dead in the hand as some of the others. But you can control letting it back down with out the snap jerk other bows have. You can find them pretty reasonable used also. With the lifetime warranty that follows the bow (not the buyer) its a given on which manufacture to buy used at least.
36 inch ATA and 7 inch brace with a 330 IBO. mine if you deduct the weight of the peep and d loop gets 326 5gpp. Hunting set up is closer to 307fps. Killed elk the last two years with mine and one nice blacktail 4x4 with eye guards.  Its my lucky partner that will stick around for a few more years..
