Where are you going for the Oct. 25 opener in EW???
(trust me..it's hardly a "secret spot" if you're hunting on public land!)
(I'm looking at two places: Little Naches and Upper Colockum)
-
Probably east of Chewlah or North of Northport. I'm taking my 16 year old out for his first elk hunt. Should be fun!
-
well.....if its hardly a secret, why you asking us? just go to YOUR spot, and leave "ours" alone! :IBCOOL:
-
One spot is no secrect COWICHE with everyone else :bash:. Or maybe I will try out the secret spot, but it is no where near the Cowiche area :P :P

Half of the state is prolly looking to go to the upper Colockum :chuckle: :chuckle:

Heard there's LOTS of camps set up already by the reserve.
Also, heard there's more animals in the canyons over last year, though.... (Whether they're spikes is another question :dunno:)

I will be in the clockum as well. We (camp) in a nice cabin on Parke Creek. I Pray that we are all safe and have a good experience in the woods! :)

I'll be about as far west as you can get in the middle of the state and still hunt with an eastside tag. In fact I'll be able to hunt elk on my right, and black tail on my left, literally.
I spent last weekend deer hunting in the same area and we saw lots of elk sign, and no other hunters!!! Didn't see any animals though, and since this will be my first elk season I'm not holding my breath. Willing to listen to any advice, suggestions, or disparaging remarks. ;)
