I didn't make the menu,
They probably don't want all nighters in a public parking lot, babysitting pork buts and briskets.
just wanted to see how many of the experts out here would be interested in cooking instead of typing their dinner. :twocents:
KC your always talking about your ribs, at least till your thread is locked out. Are they to lame to enter in a lame competition??
$800 bucks to lame a prize money for Covington cooks? :dunno:

OK, I was really expecting more response to this thread and competition.
I really thought that KC would of stepped up and want to enter to show his magic.
Maybe some of you computer masters can post one of those little clock, tickers that people can click on if they want him to enter and win!
Or we can put up donations for him to enter! Get your grill on!
Peace, Hawgdawg

My cousin will be there, Big Pappa Bills, check his stuff out it's really good.

that makes sense, enumscratch does roll up about 5pm for front porch whiddlin time every night :chuckle:
And to correct you, you will not find one thread or probably even 1 post on ribs from me, i dont cook ribs, and I have no idea what a tri-tip even is :dunno: i usually cook chicken or butts, the locked thread is a pork butt thread, so now that you have made several inaccurate accusations, if you wanna call me out just do so and we'll get together and have a BBQ, It isnt that I didnt step up, I stopped posting in the cooking forum for the most part because there are too many that just want to make every thread an argument so why bother, its no longer fun, so i dont even read it much either, and it doesnt help i just spent some time in the hospital this week and been very sick with pneumonia.

Tritip is delicious!

I have nothing t prove, those that know me, know ;) in actuality i just dont feel it right now, i spend all day coughing my guts up, i have several torn abdomen muscles from it, and the antibiotics are making me sick to my stomach :o its hard to "feel the BBQ vibe" when all you wanna do is puke and die :'( sorry guys not this time...
But ...if any member wants to enter and give hawgy-doggy a run for his money, ill hook you up with some smokin recipes, i may even lend you my 1952 smoker just to see him go down in flames :chuckle:
p.s. hawg got nuthin but love for ya
-
Tritip is delicious!
If you want good tri tip roast go to kelsos in snohomish, and get the seasoned roast, then pot it on the grill!

Thanks Ice man...I am sure our meat will be chilled before cooking and our beer always!
-
sirmissalot wants to see a competition so bad, i think HE should enter
-
Nah, I have a cold. Been sniffling for a few days now. Don't wanna be a jerk and get people sick! :chuckle:
A friend and I talked about entering but I think I'll just offer to taste test for hawgdawg instead since I've never made real ribs before and I much prefer eating than cooking.
Am I assuming there will be food to eat hawgdawg or is it just for competition sake?
-
if i had a sniffle no biggie, but i dont want to give anyone pneumonia for sure. im not really a big rib fan, pork ribs like country style ill do but i dont care for beef ribs.
-
well you are safe then pneumonia is not contagious :dunno: the flu or cold that leads to it might be, use of a smoker can cause it anything that is a lung irritant and a person with a compromised immune system usually get pneumonia. I dont know anyone who has caught pneumonia and I know lots of people in medical jobs I think I'd hear about it.

just making a point pneumonia isn't contagious, now if you said you had pneumonia and didn't have the lung capacity to stand up at a smoker and breathe smoke the whole thing would be more believable.
I am a very literal person .... you said you were contagious :dunno:
-
I'm pretty sure I have my neighbor talked into doing this. I've been invited over to taste test this weekend  he told me he has mastered ribs so I told him he has some pretty tough competition if he wants to compete.
-
I'm not going to spend my whole evening deleting posts here, play nicely together or go away.
-
:yeah:
It was just about to get good...........Then you could have deleted it :chuckle:
-
:chuckle:
-
Now nobody will know what i am :yeah: doing that for

For the record. It is for first time competitors or backyard type cooks.
I have been to competitions and watched, spied, helped out as a bull cook etc. So this is new to me also.
Come one come all. At the very least you can meet some folks.
Kracker you will be just fine in a few weeks.
Put a new coat of rust on the ugly drum smoker and lets burn some meat!!!!

WRONG!
I don't even have a front porch. You can call my home and ask my Wife!
Do have a back porch and do my whittling in my John Deer green rocker!!

What is a "bull cook"?
Got the word during the Alaska pipeline days. Basically a glorified dishwasher and potato peeler! Bullcook got all the bull***t jobs....
-
Got it.....thanks.
-
If I drive up there will there be plates full of ribs for me to eat or is this just for competition?
-
Was trying to figure out where it was. That is NW Safe parking lot. I might swing by.
