Title: Anybody used Sawtooth Outfitters for a September high hunt?
Post by: Lucky Buck on June 19, 2013, 01:05:39 PM
I've heard good things so far about Sawtooth but I was wondering if anyone on here has gone on any trips with him (Brian Varrelman).  last time I used an outfitter for a high hunt it could not have gone worse!!

I used Early Winters and it was a terrible experience.  I won't get into details but if I had to rate them on a scale of 1-10 it would be a 1.  Thanks for the info backyard bucks!

I will be in there the first 10 days of archery season but no outfitter going in on foot and hopefully coming out heavy!

Didn't think the Paysayten was open for the early archery hunt (GMU 203).
Brain is a good guy and excellent packer.  I think he packs into the Tatoosh Buttes/ Pasayten River area.  Early Winters' area is west of that and Steve Darwood packs for hunters east of Brian's area (Andrews Creek/Ashnola River area). Good Luck.
