Title: Blue Mountains Foothills West

Been applying for this tag for 7 years. I only filled out 2 of the 4 choices for fear of drawing a hunt I didn't want for the last 7 years and finally I drew the west hunt. That was my 1st choice. 2nd choice was the east side where my family has land. Kind of glad I drew the west. Can't wait to be hunting over there in November again.

Anyone else draw it on here?

A buddy of mine drew it a few years ago and tagged a solid 5 point. Bigger than I've ever seen down there during regular season...

Post by: CedarPants on June 19, 2013, 03:08:57 PM: Congrats! I've hunted turkeys down that direction a few times and have seen some very impressive whitetail. Found a full skeleton of one in a creek bottom last time I was down that way, my jaw dropped when I saw his rack. Good luck!!

Awesome! I had the rifle tag back in '07 and the weather was warm and rainy and the movement was minimal. Knock down a big one this year, I'll be keeping an eye out for it! :tup:

You ain't kidding. Nearly got worked over by that fog 2.5 years ago. November cant come soon enough. Got an archery elk tag for a friend and a couple kids for the general season to get through also. Should be a great fall.

I'm not sure where we will be...the one unit I know least is 149 but my father in law has an early prescott bull tag so I may be in that one during part of the muzzy season...I own land in 154 and have food plots etc set up...I will probably try to get some mileage out of my tag but mostly hunt in blue cr. You?

Post by: jackelope on June 19, 2013, 09:50:21 PM: Probably spend most of my time in the Tucannon. I hunted there in '10 when I drew the late mule deer permit there. Saw some dandy whitetails in there but could only look at them. The next year they made that permit good for both species. Oh well I got a nice Muley buck.

Hope we can find some areas to hunt over there.

Took me 11 points to draw it last year. My brother had 9 this year and didn't get drawn.
