Uncle was drawn for Umtanum sheep. My dad had the tag 29 years ago and I grew up hearing stories about the unit. It will be fun to be along on a sheep hunt.
Pack your video camera! I would love to see that hunt on video. Congrats to everyone who has a tag.

Mines any moose...but the bulls will be my first choice :)Got it, I just put bull down for those with any moose tags because you can never draw a bull tag after this, you can still draw a cow regardless which sex you shoot this year. ;)

I drew 49 North and would love to pick your brain. When is the best time to go? Oct 1 during the rut or later in Nov when you can see and track in the snow?
Where should I go in the unit, It's a big area, where should I focus my time and attention to find brutus?

Moose tag holders you have to hunt the rut ! take it all in it's your whole load !Its fun to hear them glunk but its definitely not essential. The later part of the season the leaves fall,making seeing deeper into the timber/brush much easier. You will also find the bulls grouping back up after the rut, making finding more of them a little easier as well. :twocents:

So the regs (pg 64 at the top in blue) say we have 15 days to purchase our license by the "deadline established". Does anyone know what the deadline is? I tried to purchase the moose tag on-line today and was unable to do so. Thanks
From what I have seen and read its 15 days from when you get the card in the mail from the game department saying what tag you have drawn. Then it should be in the system for you to buy and I guess that is when the 15 days starts. Great draw!!!

Only 18 years? Hope you know how lucky you are. I consider myself lucky after getting drawn for moose on what I think is my 34th try.

So just got moose permit in the mail and nothing stating when the deadline to buy the tag is! I guess I will just go to game dept. on Monday. Can't find anything online either.Why mess around? Just buy it now! :dunno:

One reason is I just had back surgery and am unable to leave the house! Other than that no reason. Looked on wdfw website and couldn't find where to buy a moose tag.Have you gone into "purchase license" on the website to see if it is available?

I hope you didn't plan on starting at corral pass, those a holes left the gate at the bottom locked this year because they said they don't have the personell to pump out the sh itter on top. I can say we did notch the tag, I say we because there are 5 others that that made me feel over wheelmed at true unkown frienship can be. My son Jesse, Jimmy, Brad, Blake and brian who I met through Hunt washington that never meet any of us and still come gave us a great helping hand Thank you
