Title: Observatory Bull Tag

That time of year the majority of the animals will be deep and steep. Not a hard tag to fill if you can find out where the elk like to hide when the pressure hits. Send me a PM after September if you are having a hard time.

Wow awesome :tup:, I didn't know they actually gave those out. Been putting in for Observatory for over 10 years :bash:. Good luck and congratulations

This is actually the first time that I have been able to hunt big bulls since I was a kid. I can't believe I am finally geting a chance. There are many quality bulls in the area but you are going to have to work for them. It's not like hunting the other side of the valley.

Post by: elkfins on June 27, 2013, 02:43:19 PM: Good advice here... think steep and thick. Many of the bulls I've encountered in this unit were within 10 - 15 yards... in areas that you can't see further than that.

Ive hunted that area for the last 5 years for spikes and cows and every year i have gotten close to some nice bulls! You have a great chance of getting a bull. My advice dont worry about the points...have fun, look for destinct game trails...because they will be traveling them especially on opening day of spike.
