I live in the Unit and hunt it religiously, it is down from years past. Out of a group of 6 guys last weekend we got 0 deer. Last year we got 5. We did get a nice little 3 this morning plus eye guards. The deer seem to have vanished. I haven't found many winter kills so I don't know where they have went? I went over Albian Hill last night about a two and half hour run. We didn't see a deer. We saw about 15 camps with no deer hanging in them. We did see a guy with a 90"+ mule deer shed. Largest shed I have ever seen. On a positive note we where in 2" of snow last night. But on a negative note not one deer track had crossed the road yesterday in a 3 mile strip up high in the snow? In the last 4 days out of 8 guys not counting the deer in town or in the farmers fields we have seen 7 does, 3 bucks (1 now dead), 1 bear, 10 grouse, and an uncountable amount or rabbits. Hope this helps... :dunno:
