My daughter filled her doe tag with her first deer yesterday evening. We hunted up on the ridge for a while and then decided to go down to a field we had permission hunt for the last hour before dark but there were already six in the field feeding but they spooked when we got out of the truck. After about another hour of cat and mouse in the sage brush hills above the field we were able to close the distance on a couple of them and she dropped it with one shot at 180 yards. Instead of being only 100 yards from the truck we were now more like a mile and half so it took us to well after dark to get it out. Sure glad I have a deer cart. Any way I think she is hooked for life. She is pretty excited.
