Well my buddies and I got shut out this past week up near Cub Pass in Winthrop. One of them had a nice buck in his sights, tall rack, but couldn't quite make out a third point, so he didn't take the shot. Several yards up the hill another hunter took a pop shot at it as it ran away, telling my buddy he just missed a monster. Better safe than sorry. Anyhow, we also didn't see as many hunters with a kill this year as we did last year. Anyone have any luck in the area? We ended up camping way up Cub Pass, near the top by a radio tower. Freaking cold up there! We tried to hunt a little lower, near the double cattle guard. This is where we saw the most action. We also saw saw a nice 2 point off Gunn Rd., little side road. Should we be hunting somewhere else in Winthrop?

I too hunted up in that area and didnt see much and only saw one hunter down way low around 3rd creek take a small 3 point. Pretty slow for mulies this year I think. Headed up to Teanaway for a last ditch effort this weekend. Not so worried about it, I got Montana from Nov 13th - 22nd to nail a mulie!!! :IBCOOL: Good luck to all the rest of the season that we wait so long for and watch it go by like its only a couple hours long!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forgot to say I only saw 8 deer total in 3 full days of hunting. 3 small bucks and does. Not much sign of deer really!
