Put your boots on and get your hand ready to knock on some doors. 163 is a good unit but the elk are hard to find and often and almost always on private ground. I hear the tree farm at Boise is good not sure how you would get on there but people have killed some good bulls there. I have seen elk a mile from Touchet and a pretty good little herd out by LOMO last year. your going to have to work for that tag but it could be a good one. You live close so I would get in the car and start driving around and asking permission.
As far as the Dayton tag goes it's a huge unit so that again will be just getting up there and learning the land. Lots of NF up there.

That would be great if there were a youth tag for big bulls in prescott.

I was just looking through the regs and I dont see any youth muzzy bull tags for prescott either. The cow tag should be no problem you have the whole national forest and private ground. It just excludes the rainwater
