Nice buck.
Looks like frog legs on the barbie to me...
-
That brings back memories !! Yeah we used to take a fishing pole and do the same thing ...wiggle it in front of them and they will attack it !! I always used dragon flies ...Good job !
-
Cool. That is a biggie.
-
Gigged a lot of frogs but never caught one like that.
-
We would use a little powerbait and no weights to catch them. They will not resist an easy meal, its almost as if they get mad and attack.
-
22 shorts, my friends dad was a fire capt. we used to tape maglites to our 10/22's. Frog legs are good eats!
-
Not trying to be the Internet police, but it is not legal to use a firearm for frogs in WA. They are a blast to shoot with a bow though.

I've been wanting to try gigging, for awhile now.

I miss hearing them in the early evenings.
Bullfrogs are not native to WA. One of the reasons you are missing hearing frogs is the BFs are eating them.
Frog legs are yummy!

If anyone around selah wants some I could show em to you.

wdfw says no one can raise, keep ,sell, transport any bullfrogs...they are an invasive specie that were originally brought in for meat. that they did...5 goslings and 11 ducklings later they were fat and sassy. their mistake was jumping on anything that moves across the lily pad. we got 6 in one day. any pond on the west side has them...all I have are in the freezer right now.

we use to kill bulls all the time when i was kid, the best i did was 14 in a night, it was damn good eatn man, not a ton of meat but you get enough of them and it will fill ya up.... hell of a nice bull there
