Wanted to see if anyone uses the Mathews Heli-m bow. Read alot of reviews seems like people like it alot. I know its spendy especially for a first bow, but want to get something nice right away. Any thoughts on that bow? Thank you.

Buy one used on ebay to save the money. I did and LOVE the bow a lot. Super smooth, light, quiet, and a great shooter. You won't be disappointed.

Love my Heli-m. Very smooth and shoots great. My hunting arrows are scootin out at 305 fps. It groups great too even out around 60 yards!

If you can afford it buy new , you will get the warranty . My experience with Mathews is they are great shooting bows , but at some point you will need the warranty . :twocents:

My fiancé shoots a HeliM she loves it Its super smooth and quite the only complaint I have ever heard with them is that Mathews made them so light that some of the 70# bows are hard to tune but I wouldnt mind having one I just cant part with my hoyt :chuckle:

Is Hoyt a better bow that Mathews or is it just preference.?
-
Whats the best place to get a mathews bow? Because i went to Sportsmans and they didnt have any.
-
Mathews ..all the way buddy ...but there are many bows to choose from and now days many are built well ...
-
They both shoot great ,Hoyt & Mathews. In that order too. Ha ha lol

Go up to Riverside Archery in Mount Vernon they have both Mathews and Hoyt.. Gary and Jason are great guys and will take care of ya!
-
Completely Preference, :chuckle: shoot what fits you and your budget IMO I shoot hoyt for a hunting bow but a mathews for targets

Which bow is absolutely a personal choice, I have been with Mathews since their beginning, had a Bowtech for a couple of seasons, went back to my mathews jusst because it felt better in my hand.
Here in Kitsap?Mason county you can go to Penisula Pro Shop on Highway 3- Talk to Charles, He sells most of the Brand name bows.

Yep Penisula is the way to go, try out a few and see what feels right. I love my Mathews z7extreme.
-
Thanks for all the tips.

Shot one last year, but have set up MANY here at my shop. Several in stock, located in Wenatchee. Great bow, easy to tune and very accurate!

What is the typical distance for shooting a deer or an elk? I know everybody has there own thing to. But what would be a comfortable distance to shoot?
-
For most people its 40 or 50 yards. It really depends on experience and the shooters ablility :twocents:
