Scouting for my up coming elk hunt and came across this image, actually several groups of elk! thought it was kinda cool! and yes I know it gives the location. I picked this image because its in a no hunting area but close :)

Very cool!! Is it just me or is the one 4th from the lower right a bull? Antlers casting a shadow. Good luck on your elk hunt.  :)

Incredible!  Enter that in photo of month!  Seen some mashers in there before!  Maybe you find one in Margo!  Ya, it does look like horn shadows?

Im wrong and haven't been there.  Pretty cool.  Wonder if they migrate to Randle? :chuckle:  So cool.  Is that in Margo?  I didn't check.  Military satelites better than google probably.  :yike:  Hope Im not fined for logs left in Nat. forest.

I c.  My dad and his buddies used to hike up there years back.  Seen some good ones then they claim.  That said they have taken many Helens bulls and not one 6pt.  My dad has 2 5x5 from Helens maybe 270+.  Beauty dark horned bull.  Rainier gene pool will land you bigger ones. :twocents: Great tag good luck.

That's a long ways in. Better have a plan to get it out. Ya I wouldn't shoot one there might get in trouble. Your a good mile or two away from hunting area.

I have two st helens 6 points under my belt, one from SW side other from east side, plus a 5x5 from SE side all of which go 250...I'm sure theres gotta be a good 6pt+bull there somewhere....

Sure there is.  We seen one with toutle tag last year.  Opening day he went to mudflow area and got shot.  Wasn't over 300.  Nice bull.  I see much larger bulls in G-mas pasture every year in july.  Helens isn't where I would hunt for trophy bulls over 300+ personally.  Overrated.  Lots of elk with hoof rot and 5pts. :dunno:
