Thought I'd try something differant this time. So I marinated 3 racks in rootbeer for 24hrs. Patted dry an applied my basic rub. Then smoked with pecan chunks till done. They turned out pretty good a little to sweet with the rootbeer but edible. It's one of those pretty good but wouldn't do it again type things. Glad I tried it and won't try Dr pepper now because of the sweetness. You might want to give it a shot it's a hit with kids ;)
