Got a late invite to run with a couple great guys and ran out of West Port... Left the house at 0230hrs and was on the water by 0530hrs... We did good - limited across the board with both Chinooks and Silvers... Most boats - according to the fish checker did not do so well and only a couple of boats limited... My go to favorite - Coho Killer wasn't doing it for me, even though I stayed stubborn til I needed action. Switched to small cut herring plug, 55 ft out in between the jetties at 4 miles or so, 95 ft of water.. A couple earlier Silvers were at 30 ft - north jetty area. "No salmon secrets in the salt". (thinking of changing my boat name to that :chuckle: :chuckle:) The fish won't be there tomorrow anyhow... Bang them while we can and get our table fare frozen... A great kick off to the 2013 salt water salmon season... Now for getting the barbeque ready.... Fish checker cut the heads off a couple others that had trackers in them..
