I did some scouting near my property to see what might be around. To my suprise there were a lot of blue grouse around. Several held long enough to get a couple of photos. I'll see if I can post them...

Now the big question is will they still be around in two weeks... :dunno:

Nice pictures. What was the elevation?
-
3000 to 3200 or so...I'm guessing because the house is at 2600. Not quite to the ridge top...
-
Great pics, I am getting excited about grousin too!

That road looks familiar. I'm guessing near Cape laBelle area. I've shot some thunderchicken up there, mostly Blues and a couple Roughs. It's amazing the density of birds over there considering how dry it usually is.
-
I was gonna guess the road was in Ellensburg, near the Elk heights area...looks like the exact same spot that a few blues outsmarted me last year.

Okanogan County.

Ok, sorry but I am a bit slow today, you asking about the road my kids are hauling all the grouse up for me?
-
Sure, is it a USFS road? I hunt the area between hwy 20 and Aeneas Valley Rd.

Chelan county.
