Hey, did I mention that I drew a Bethel Muzzleloader tag? :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:
Any recommendations for the best map of the GMU?
I have the Atlas/Gazetteer.
In other units I've used the GMU maps with the yellow front (sorry, don't know what they're called).
Anyway, it's just about scouting time, so if anyone has a good map to recommend I'd appreciate it
.
(Alternately, you could always PM me some road numbers to check out..... :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Green trails map.

Get a map from mytopo.com, you can order one for the gmu or make a custom map. Will run you around 20 to 30 dollars.

As tall as you are I would suspect you could just stand on your tip toes.

Get the Ranger District map. Sometimes known as "fire maps." Great detail, they show all roads and trails. I would stop by the forest service office in Naches and pick one up. Last I knew they ran about $8.

After you get the maps let me know and over a cold :brew: I will see what 40+ years of hunting that country I can remember. :chuckle: I already have a couple of ideas like I e-mailed already. Besides that we have mule deer to chase so I can't have you chasing elk when it is buck season. :chuckle: :chuckle:

Thanks for the help Gents. I appreciate the PMd map info as well.
I would say that the price for a snarky remark like is Thai food:
"As tall as you are I would suspect you could just stand on your tip toes."
I would say that the price for a snarky remark like is a scouting trip in the Bethel:
"Map? What's that? I just drive and walk so when I'm taken hostage I can't give any info.LOL"
And I would say that the price for a snarky remark like this is ....... well, already paid in full.
"What's a map?"
