You lucky dog, are you the guy that hunted the same tag last year?? You picked the season I would have taken, have you killed bulls before? What is your goal on size? Man that tag would be fun to hunt!

If you don't know the area real well there will be some guys on here that would love to help, I saw a dead head from the area that would score around 350 to 360.

Been in there quite a bit this preseason, 340 should be no problem with what I have seen lately. Good luck

So can you have only one other guys with you on this hunt? It sure would be nice to have a team of good elk hunters for calling and then help with the packing?

I seen a pure slob of a bull in there during spring bear season, posted a pic up in the kapowsin spring bear forum, that thread there's alot of bull pics lol. I'd gold out and not shoot first thing u see, that bull we seen with 2 weeks left in spring bear season he was already a monster 7x7 that at least was gonna go 8x8 if not 9x9 look at the pic of him... Symmetrical and just a tank! Can't wait to hear your post season story!

Found this guy in there a past season and he still had a least a month of growing to do. I am with everyone else when i say a 350 bull is doable! Lets hope they dont close the gates for fire danger but you should be ok with a muzzle tag.

Westside is trying his best. Feeling the pressure now I'm sure. I took him a couple mornings and we saw 9 bulls one morning and 12 the other. Best bull was 330-340 with a few 300-320. Big difference between the week before the hunt starts and the week of the hunt. Located 6 bulls over 350 and 2 over 370 the 10 days before the hunt but cant dig em out of the brush yet. He is in the right spots just needs a little luck. Anything decent in range and he will be slinging lead now I'm sure.  Today may be the day for him.

Nice. I used to live very close to Kapowsin and saw some nice bulls when I would venture in behind the locked gates. Camp 1 was a good place to start.

Like everything pictures don't do that bull justice. He was a stud! I spotted him driving down a hill to hit a main road and spotted him face on out about 300 yards in thick stuff. The deer hunting wasn't bad, saw 4 does. Hopefully tomorrow something will have some head gear.

Not putting down any bulls posted but, this is one of the best tags on the west side- and no pigs are posted?!  C'mon guys, it isn't like publicity is going to ruin this hunt!  Or did no pigs die this year? Any info out there ?

Not sure what you mean. Mucks have had access to the Hancock White river property for years. Kill a lot of animals there every year. Now they own it.
