Title: No elk left in the Blues
Post by: Easy-E on July 12, 2013, 01:55:35 PM: Spent all last weekend hiking/scouting in the Blues (Dayton, Watershed, and Wenaha West units). Had a great time but it was a bit of a downer. We saw more wolf scat than any other sign. Hello wolves, good bye elk.

Enjoy those tags while you've got 'em, the days of quality elk hunts in the Blues may be over....

Ive hunted there for 20 years and have only seen a couple bulls. :chuckle:

It will be a good year for u guys with the tags, lots of 3ft high green grass, the lower foothills look awesome this time of year.

More Elk there then any other place in that state. If i didn't already have other plans I would hunt there for sure. Pass it on!
