Title: Grouse in display
Post by: Stickerbush on July 13, 2013, 02:33:31 PM
Sorry no pics, but I saw a blue (sooty) grouse in display 2 days ago. Is this a little late in the season for them to be doing this? I have never seen them in display before but he was drumming and had a few females around. I thought the mating season would be over by now

This particular grouse is a well-known rock star. That was his entourage. They were setting up for a hooting video.
You shoulda stuck around and got an autograph.

Like other rockers with an entourage...he's probably going to get shot at in a couple of months.  I can just about guarantee it!!!
