Post by: splitshot on July 21, 2013, 05:56:26 PM: is it possible or feasible to change a 270 weapon to a 270 short mag? if so what do you have to do? or is it easier to just buy a new gun? thanks, mike w

you can definitely run a WSM on a long action... plenty of people do it so they can run heavy long VLD style bullets with very long OAL. the biggest factor here is the bolt face is the incorrect size. they can alter them. not sure on cost, and the barrel will need rechambered.

Unless we're talking about a Savage. Then it's quick, easy, and cheap. My 375 BME started out as a 223. :tup:
