Title: New To Hunting
Post by: MapMaster on July 24, 2013, 09:49:00 PM
Hello, I'm 15 years old and trying to learn as much as I can about hunting. I've been elk hunting once in GMU 346, I didn't really know what I was doing though. On top of that where we were camped there were hunters EVERYWHERE. So,I'm constantly on Google earth looking for other places to hunt, but my dad doesn't really have time to go and scout. Any help on where We could start looking that's within 3 hours would be greatly appreciated!, I live in Auburn

Did you get drawn for the Elk multi-tag? Or hunting deer with rifle, and elk with bow?

Well to be honest you can hunt deer with either a rifle or a bow within the same year and not draw a multiseason permit, but you still can only hunt during the time frame of the tag you purchase...
If you buy a Modern deer tag, you can hunt with a rifle or a bow. during the modern season...
