Amazing how well elk have ranged throughout the state now; right in our own backyards. I jog on a trail that's actually mostly in the city limits and I've run into elk, deer, bear, and coyotes. I know there's cougar out there at times but I haven't seen them yet.

Is it private property or public land? Those big bucks will completely change their habits if they get a little pressure, so you might not be seeing the bucks due to pressure from other hunters. :dunno:
