Had the best King fishing I have ever had in Washington! This years trip rivaled Alaska in the size and numbers of fish we were getting. As we have done for the last 10 years six of us made the journey to Neah Bay for some offshore Salmon.
First stop Gordy's Pizza in Port Angeles for some lunch and refreshments, then to Safeway to fill up the coolers for three days of fishing and four nights of dinners. Final destination Sekui to relax, BBQ and walk the docks looking at all the boats we can not afford. Up at 3am leave the rooms at 4am on the boat just before 5am. Two days offshore one day inshore with a combo bottom fish/Salmon day.
First day 25 plus miles out I am number four in the line up the three before me all had one each high teen to low twenty King's in the box. Starboard pole goes off does not seem like much then the tell tale sign of a nice King the reel starts loosing ALOT of line
:whoo:
The fight is on got him close to the boat saw a quick flash and gone, more line screams off the reel by now all lines and riggers are out of the water and the deck is cleared. Get him back to the boat two more times and the runs keep getting shorted he's getting tired. Finally get him close captain has me move up the rail a bit reel down to the bead and step back BAM! 30 pound King in the net!
This never gets old! Love catching King Salmon! And a huge shout out to jambossportfishing.com for another spectacular year next years trip is already booked!

:yeah:
He works hard to make sure everyone gets their fish and has a great time while on the water that is why we keep going back year after year
