Pink buzzbomb or Pt. Wilson dart....single barbless hook....long rod. Chuck it out, jig it back.

:yeah:
I saw a guy out there thowing a pink Buzzbomb out there on saturday. I thought it was a joke at first until i saw how far he was throwing it, at least 200'. He would let is sink a few seconds then jig it in.

Make sure you use the little rubber bumper between the jig and the knot.

For kicks....you could also use a float.....I would run a pink jib tipped with prawn....chuck it out....let the waves give it some action...follow it along the beach....bring it in, repeat. That is how we fished for silvers off the Possesion beach, float with a live herring.....everyone casts out, walk them along, bring in, repeat. That could be fun also.

Here you go.....they are essentially fishing the bank, just from a boat.

Hey Elk,
I may have some buzz bombs to throw yor way.
Haf to look.
I don't live up there anymore, we plunk and throw jigs in the river.

What I do usually...
Buzzbombs, pink, medium....
Ill usually put on a barrel swivel at the end of my line, From that - Tie about a 12-18" leader, on that leader, place your buzzbomb facing the correct way on the line, put a rubber bumper - you can buy a pack of 20 for like 3 bucks at walmart - then put on either a #1 or #1/0 hook. Whatever size you prefer really, crimp the barb or buy barbless - then like everyone said, cast it out as far as possible and jig it. If you have some herring, anise, or ghostshrimp scent. Doesnt hurt to throw alittle on there.
I place the barrel swivel because on the drop the buzzbomb has the tendency to ride and jump away from the hook, this way If this happens, It keeps my hook within 8-12" of my buzzbomb MAX depending on the size buzzbomb you use also, I usually will do a medium or small. Large is alittle overkill IMO.

Early morning when they are up high I would run jigs on light gear..
Later in the day as mentioned buzz bombs or rotators by pt wilson are good too. I like them better than buzz bombs.
