This is a picture from my bro-in-laws trail cam up in Elk about 7-8 miles from the Idaho border.
I'm not sure what to think on this. The body looks more like bear to me but the head and ears definatley look canine.
-
bear
-
My vote is bear as well with his/her ears back while feeding. :twocents:
-
never mind.... its a wolf. if you look closely, the name of the picture says "wolf" so it's definitely a wolf.
-
100% bear
-
Little bear.
-
Little bear.
Thats what I was thinking as well.
-
It's a bear. Pretty sure I have seen this pic before.
-
young bear
-
Sure got some pointy ears for a bear.but for argument it's pretty chubby for a wolf
-
bunny rabbit.
-
Wolf in bears clothing! :chuckle:
-
It's Jacob tracking down Edward - to bite his head off
-
I am pretty sure its a wolf just because of the shape of the head and ears...You people who say bear i think are just in denial because you have never seen a black wolf. I have in fact been to a wolf sanctuary on the west side where they have a black wolf that looks identical to the one in this picture http://images4.fanpop.com/image/forum/78000/78399_1290377366066_full.jpg (http://images4.fanpop.com/image/forum/78000/78399_1290377366066_full.jpg)

"I seen one in a zoo - I'm an expert!" :chuckle:
lets see, it's spring time. A wolf would have already shedded off mats of hair.
every wolf I ever seen the head is almost too large for the body whereas this pic is the other way around
wolf doesn't have the round rump, or round shoulders, or thick legs either.
That pic is so far away from being a wolf I can't fathom how people could be confused :dunno:

People in NE Washington are anything BUT in denial when it comes to wolves. Slow your roll :chuckle:
Welcome aboard as well
-
Im voting bear as well...yes the ears appear more pointed, but the face structure, from the ears toward the nose, doesnt move inward as sharply as I think it would if it were a canine skull versus a bear...plus in the front shoulder area he/she looks to be a bit "bow legged", again, more bear looking to me :twocents:
-
I vote Bear, Wolves are too busy killin deer, elk, livestock and whatever else they can. Wolves don't have enough time to pose for pics!!!!
-
Maybe it is a cross between a Wolf and Bear
-
It looks like sasquatch to me. He probably moved up north since he has eaten all the elk and the deer in the blues so now he is in search of a new food source

Ah yes, the venerable wolfbear.

Looks like manbearpig to me. I'm super serious.
-
Looks too thick to be a wolf, too skinny to be a bear...
This is a prime example of why you always need to be running multi-shots on your TC's!!

maybe we should nuke the area..we cant take the risk of letting this thing roam free
-
small bear
-
At least its not a cat this time. 8)

lol

Definitely a younger bear. Maybe 1-2 years old. Wolves don't get that chubby since they're so active. Plus the fur is too think for late summer
-
Bobcat. 100% bobcat
:IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:

Dimensions are consistent with a hoary marmot. :chuckle:

Its our old member humanmanure :chuckle: :chuckle:

Its funny the first time I looked at it I saw a bear without question. Now every time I come back it looks a little more like a wolf. Like when you stare at something for awhile and it starts to change. Put a stalk on a few stumps from doing this. LOL You guys are infecting my brain. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Kain, - this thread would lead me to believe that all 3 of the pics you posted are 100% without a doubt no if-ands-or-buts about it ..... bears :chuckle:

In the night club scene this is commonly referred to as "beer goggles". :party1: :chuckle:
