I've posted him on the 4-Point Rule 117/121 thread but this fella deserves his own thread I think
I really hope to get a chance at him. These pics were taken from videos that were captured on the 19th of July.
Thanks huntnw for all your advice and you're right, big bucks DO start showing up late July :yike:
He's another 'great buck that don't score diddley"

Those bases are something else. Hopefully you get some pics of him out of the velvet... maybe even with you in the background

Why wouldn't he score well? I'd take him, no questions asked

Cause he's only got three on the one side and a weak point on the other. Don't worry, it won't slow me down as I send an arrow his way.

Yeah I'm stoked for September 1st and hope to see those gnarly bases when they're velvet free.

I think he may be a little young believe it or not. I have a similar buck on my camera this year. I've got some pics of his father from about 4 years ago. This is the latest pic of him................

Sfrenger, you mean young like less than 4.5 years or young as in, he'll get bigger?
That is a stud buck there, for any age. Ferry?

Actually, I think he might only be 3.5 years old. Pend Oreille county.

I've seen pics of bucks like this before..and by the look of the base he may have got his nuts caught up on something...I could be completely wrong, but from what I read about these deer their antlers don't fall off and I don't believe they shed the velvet...the ones I've seen have some crazy clumps at the bases of the antlers..like I said, I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me. :dunno:

You mean a cactus buck? I've actually got video of this buck from May so unless I'm mistaken on ID, I think he's "intact"
Most cactus bucks have much longer velvet don't they?
