The Nemo Arms "Omen"! 300 Winchester mag in an AR format! Holds MOA out to 1000 yards! I think I may need one of these!!
-
1,000 yards and I think I need one too!
-
And the obvious question is . . . How much $$$?
I'm assuming if I have to ask . . . I can't afford it. :chuckle:
-
The one pictured will run you around $5500, plus shipping, tax and FFL fees.
I saw a basic model for around $3600

Holy crap thats alot of cha ching for a rifle. I am fonder of my bolt actions already! I sure like the accuracy report on it though.
-
They are nice but for that kind of money it better be hovering closer to 1/2 moa or less at 1k. They are definitely cool though.
-
:bdid: I think I would go broke trying to feed that monster...even as a reloader :yike:
-
Twist rate?
Is the mag long enough to load the 230 gr otm's?

they have a titanium one for around 100k too

I have never seen one of those black rifle's that I like. My brother has one and I shot it. Shoot's pretty well but to d*mn ugly!
-
I'm going to have to start selling my body to get one of those............

I know someone who needs a kidney.

Cool, but you can build a bolt action .300wm that holds 1/2 MOA out to 1400yards for 2/3 that price. Besides, you should only need one shot. What's the point in a 10 round mag?
-
Did they call it the omen cause its nemo backwards? :dunno: :dunno:

You'd do OK if you sold it by the lb! I'd be able to afford one, too! :chuckle: :chuckle:

Question is, why not? :)14 rounds down range, 1/2 MOA out to 1500 yards... Who needs reason more then plain ole fun!

That is correct!

must be built on an AR-10 platform. You'd never get an AR-15 to handle those herkin' cartridges!
-
I think it is a custom based off a lengthened 10...don't think the AR-10 could handle them either. I'd like to see them make it for the .338 LM.
-
Noreen builds one in 338, but it is a jerkin big gun. Still waiting for those to show, hopefully soon!
-
This is great.. We started with a rifle claimed to hold minute of angle to 1000 yds. Next up was the rifle you could have built that would hold 1/2 min at 1400 yds. Now we're up to a custom that will hold 1/2 min at 1500 yds. I'd love to see someone show up and shoot that well.
-
Plenty of guns and guys with the ability to shoot them!
-
I'll bring my .338 out and hold 1/2 MOA to 1800 yards :) a little tougher with a .300 wm though.

We are getting those numbers with .300 shooting 230gr Berger OTM's and H1000.

:o that's amazing. I'm saying that cause I've only shot my .300 out to 200 yards. Haha
-
I believe they are offered in 338 wm too.

The 230gr Hybrids and H1000 aren't much different ballistically than my 300gr .338 Hybrids with H1000. What charge of H1000 are you loading behind them?

72.5
A .368 G7 BC is a beautiful thing.
That said, i'm sure there is a Tikka out there shooting Barnes bullets that can do better..... :chuckle:

the ar platform has had more money spent on it than any other I can think of. but and no disrespect meant us old guys over 60 still cling to our bolt guns I have shot ar-15 my kids own and they are great shooters just look and feel kind of funny to an old guy. that said if i were to run into you at the range I would like to pull the trigger one time or maybe two argie1891

Would be a pleasure too! Not over 60 here, but yes, over 50.. Us "old" guys need to stick together Argie! Lol!
