I'm sure someone has posted on this same topic. When I put in for my special permit I had to purchase an elk tag. I put in for a westbar cow tag modern. So I purchased an east side elk tag. I didn't get drawn of course, so now I'm trying to get my east side modern tag switched to west side archery. Sportco told me that it can't be done :dunno:

They are correct. I think guys have switched that don't apply for special permits, but once you apply for a special permit you are locked into hunting that side of the state.

:bash: :bash: :bash: Dam it. WHY? :chuckle:
-
Because everyone would put in east side, not draw and switch to west side.
-
I hate learning things the hard way :chuckle: I have basically blew my 2013 elk season. :bash:b

Not blown if you put in a little effort :dunno:
-
That is why I try to check the rules before I buy.
-
Lots of elk on the east side, why would you blow your elk season?
-
:yeah: glad we have this rule.
Because everyone would put in east side, not draw and switch to west side.

And I think that's only reasonable...
