Title: Early Quality Peninsula Hunt
Post by: Arteman on August 02, 2013, 01:44:54 PM
I have a buddy who drew this quality Bull permit and was curious if anybody could offer some info to help out.  His permit is the early rifle hunt in September.  Thanks for any advice.

Get out several days early, drive & glass aggressively. Locate first, they won't be everywhere, and could be anywhere. Don't waste hunting days locating, scout before it opens. Have a game plan on located animals opening morning. Great tag to draw! Good areas! Just not areas to induce patternable migration, they will be where you find them for no particular reason. SolDuc headwaters are a great place to start, but scout / drive the whole area. (Problem with the SolDuc/Sitkim area is that they can get away from you there.)
