Title: 24 Hours,,,,
Post by: Hunterman on August 04, 2013, 08:53:44 AM
,,, To go until we head to Westport for our annual trip for a week of camping and fishing  Look out you bottom dwellers here I come.

It will feel strange with the bigger boat this year, I have been using the "Lady Becky" a 15' Baycraft (that was meant for lakes) for 20 plus years, to the Lady Becky ll a 19' BellBoy. It going to be like stepping out of a Model T and into a Cadillac  :IBCOOL:  Can I say I'm a little more than stoked  :IBCOOL:

My dad and brothers both fished out of Westport separately this week. My dad was on a charter Tue/Wed and my brothers in their own boat this weekend. They both said the cohos are thick but the kings are tough to come by. A lot of guys were saying they thought the kings had moved south towards Ilwaco. Today was too sloppy for my brothers to make it out of Westport and they bagged it this morning. My dad got his kings on the charter boat but he said they really had to work for them. Good luck! Hope the kings show for your trip!

We just got back from a weekend of tuna fishing in Westport, but did make it out for salmon Thursday and got 4 good kings, lots of silvers with an extra fin.

Good luck I hope you knock them dead.
