Title: barbless, all saltwater or just salmon?

Headed out for flounder.  Do I need barbless hooks or is that just for salmon?

 No, but if you have salmon on board you must use barbless salmon fishing or not.

You can't use barbed hooks for ANY species in Areas 5-13 except forage fish such as jigging smelt, herring and such in any case or you will be ticketed if checked. Been that way for a few years now. Its in the WDFW marine section for you to check. Tonto....hope that helps you not get a ticket too as you must have mis-read the rule. Hope that helps.......Les

 OH yeah thanks, didn't realize he was talking about the sound, guess I should have noticed he was from Shelton.OH and you are right I just looked.
