I have a 4500NV (BT) and I love my Kestrel.  I also bought the wind vane that you can get with it, and then put it all in a pelican case.  I usually use my phone as a ballistic computer, so I connect it to my phone via bluetooth, then it drops the weather data right into my ballistic computer, gives me a solution right there.  I do tend to put mine down range abouts 15yds on a tall tripod so I get a wind reading from in front of the firing line.  The wind vane comes with its own short tripod that I use if I have a bench or table.

There is a Kestrel with built in ballistic computer, but really I would rather have a stand alone computer in the event of loss or failure.

I know they are pricy, but if you do any long range shooting, they are worth every penny.

they are spendy, I kind of cheaped out and went with a 2500. gives me pressure and temp, which are the most important along with wind.
