I've seen a few bears...
Yep, I'm bored in my cubicle. And it's only Wednesday.
Anyone around here kill one with a 6.8mm SPC? It's actually a 7.0358mm (.277 inch same as 270 Winchester) projectile. My only rifle is an AR 15 type rifle. Muzzle velocity is ~2600 fps. Would you fire one into the ribe cage and see if it dropped, or would you tripple tap? I wouldn't want to wound one and have it get away.

If you are shooting tacks I'd go upper shoulder......break it down where it stands.

It is actually Tuesday. Not to wreck your day. :chuckle:

Yeah, it easily shoots <1" groups at 100 yards. But would you fire just one shot and wait and see if it drops (or three quick ones). I suppose I shouldn't even worry about it till I at least see one in the woods while stalking them in the woods this year...

Hit him once where it counts......if he gets back up, hit him again. I would be worried less about shots 2 & 3 and focus on the first....

Sounds legit. Thanks.
