Just looking for thoughts on this one. If you shoot and retrieve a bear in a canyon, will other bears avoid that spot for awhile or will the gut pile attract more bears? Just asking because when I've taken coyotes in a spot it seems they avoid like the plaque for awhile.

You could maybe take a look here for some insight...

I would be back there the next morning  In the 3 kills Ive been on never had one walk in while butchering but have a friend had them walk in as they were gutting....

10-4 on that ....I have taken a couple and went back with my boys or a friend and killed another the next day in the same unit !!

I have found that bears love to eat other bear gut piles....maybe they just love to eat??

We had a bear take over a bear ...we went and got the truck and had a 1 PO bear trying to defend it as his. Tried to scare it off, fired a pistol in the ground nothing! My dad ended up taking it with his bow.
