2 minutes into the first bearhunt of the year! He will be a tasty one!
-
What took you so long slacker. :chuckle: All kidding aside, nice job.
-
Nicely done. He'll make a nice rug with that color and the white splash.
-
LOL! He even fell into a surface spring to keep him cooled off. Gutted, packed out, cut up, and sitting on ice by 11;00!
-
He is #25, and by far the quickest hunt thus far!

Remember, I owe you a bottle!! ( but you will share, right?) lol! Thanks again for the help, much appreciated, and like I said, beats a morning at work!
-
Would you mind sharing elevation, vegitation, and terrain? I hope that's not breaking the rules.
Thanks
-
Im hoping that was good karma, we will share the bottle once we have elk hanging!
-
Sounds like a plan!

Was at 4000 I would guess. The chokes are just starting to ripen and bears starting to ravage them. Country is pretty dense and steep. 180 gr Trophy Bonded from my 300 Ultra at 15 yards..no such thing as overkill I guess?. hole in/hole out, quick deathbawl, and it was all over.

You have to take the easy ones once in a while. I'm still waiting for my easy bear, they always lead to lots of work for me.

Idea, go to the western side.
-
Really, no time in the day to get over there and chase them. And one bear in the freezer is enough. Need to save room for that elk in a couple of weeks!
-
Pulled another package of maple sausage from this guy for breakfast biscuits and gravy, realizing he's 2/3 rds gone already! Boy, he tastes good!
