Just wondering what you would do if you saw this during hunting season?

Yes, a true spike. Those nubs at the bases are inside the 4" window between where they attach to his skull, and measured up the beam.

Tip him over!!!

Does that elk have any branches originating more than 4" above where the antler attaches to the skull? ;)
