Well it didn't take long, maybe once we hit the green water prior to hitting the blue to start discussing boat options for an upgrade for me - an we didn't even have a fish in the boat - YET! Had an opportunity from Sirmissalot and his father to jump on their totally awesome fishing Boat.. The trip was excellent in every regard, perfect fishing, perfect weather and great company. We had a blast and caught ogles of fish.. I am hooked, hooked, hooked. Anyone want to buy a very good Salmon boat? Will sell it after Sep 15th... Seriously! Anyhow, I learned so much from these guys, I cannot thank them enough for taking this Albacore virgin out for a trip... Well of course the cherry was popped and it was a blood bath everywhere - no pun intended! Here are some pics... Having fresh tuna steaks tonight for dinner!

Nice fish! It looks like a lake out there. I've had to pass up a couple of chances to try tuna fishing, can't wait to make it out there sometime. So jealous!

Nice fish

Sweet you have to love fresh tuna.

I bet you're looking at picking up a BAMF! Chad and Blaine's boat is one sweet ride. Glad you got to experience the live bait action.

Dang Mike, looks like you are up for a name change? Dropping the cohoho? :chuckle:
Flat water Albacore fishing? Whaaaaa? Never heard of it!
Looks like you boys had fun, congratulations! No fish kissing pictures? :dunno:

The sturgeon are going to miss you. Looks like you picked a great day to be in the Blue water,

It definitely is an awesome boat and great people!

It was great to have you aboard Mike, I'm glad everything worked out. I still love the other fisheries but once you experience the tuna madness it definitely takes priority over the rest!
That was up there with some of the flattest water I've ever experienced on the blue water. As usual not many pictures were taken amidst the chaos but it was a great day and I'm glad we've got you hooked.

Pound for pound one of the best fighting fish IMO. Looks like you had a great day out there. How far out did you guys have to go?

Bathtub flat is a word I think I heard yesterday...

We've had days out there where we drug fenders over the side to have bubbles for the jigs to work in. Always nice when you don't have to run 100 miles back home in a 6' chop :IBCOOL:
Well done! First time you see an albacore change, with the swing of a club, from the most beautiful multi colored torpedo into a drab grey stinky fish it's pretty cool. I'll never forget my first time! Glad to see you guys putting some oily blood on the boat

I wish I could experience tuna fishing in water like that!

Popped my tuna cherry on Saturday also. Amazing day out there. I kept saying bust out the ski's. :chuckle:
