we went out to 18 today and nothing. first time hunting . any ideas, would really be nice thanks guys. I live in duvall wa

Is that you in the pic with the pig and the dogs?
-
yup. south texas, kenndy. whats the best gate on 18? can people hunt the lower blue gates?
-
Keep trying.
-
Any gate is a "good" gate. Bear are where you find them, there's honestly not a secret besides putting in your time. Focus more on the "hunting" and less on the "getting" patience and persistence will get you your bear ;)
-
Be careful where you're hunting on 18. I believe some areas are restricted :dunno:
-
I believe you're right, although I can't remember where the restricted areas are. The gates are pretty clearly marked though, so make sure to read em :) Was up in that area today for a little while, saw lots of bear sign, and possibly even more people including some folks with their kids that though they would offer to tell me what a horrible person I was for hunting and how I should be executed for participating in such an " inhumane activity" :yike:
-
Now that's funny. I hear that a lot too. I think the north side is restricted up to 90. Last time I was up there not all the gates were marked
-
the north/ west side in no rifle .
on another note why come down here your area has WAY more bear, 18 has very low low numbers.
