Title: YetiCam board help
Post by: shadowless_nite on August 27, 2013, 11:45:04 PM
I have a homebrew a I built a few years ago back when the old homebrew thread was still going.  anyways its a yeticam board using a sony W80. was working fine for the first two years. then had to get new batteries so I did that last winter, put the camera out this year and only got a few pics before the battery died, took it down and put some batteries in and only got about 130 pictures before it died again, majority of them were false shots or triggered by branches, birds etc.

well after playing with it at home, i found that the board does trigger the camera ON, however it does not trigger the shutter. I figured my connections were poor on the camera shutter board. but after jumping the shutter wire from the board it will trigger the shutter just fine. Seems as though the board isnt sending a signal for the shutter and its been killing the battery powering on and off.

has anyone had this issue before, or can shed some light on it? Ive been out of the homebrew game since i built it. Already emailed yeticam but im curious now lol.
