I got drawn for early archery as well.  Trying to decide if it's worth making the trip.  Don't ever expect to get drawn for misc. drawings so kind of surprised :chuckle:  Anyone that would like to give some insight would be appreciated.

Thanks
Rich

I searched too Brian, even replied to a old post by Jackelope reminding everyone of the deadline, but nobody has come up with anything.

A friends son has a tag as well.

On this tag it is any whitetail or 3pt and better mule deer. Half way through it's 3pt or anterless on mule deer.

It's right outside of the city of Oroville, there are deer in there most of the year, a few mulies but mostly white tails. I don't remember when the tags are for but when the snow flies in the heights then the place will be covered with whitetails. My in-law's live up there and say that Charlie thinks the deer belong to him and has found ways in the past to interrupt hunts by doing work on the property. If you see a black hummer running around that's Charlie, as part of his deal with the WDFW he and his family get to stay in the family place until they pass away. He likes to sit and watch the area with his spotting scope. There are some decent deer on the place, although very few really big ones. Good luck.

I know  very, very avid archery hunter. He got drawn last year for that hunt. He said there are deer all over, but not monsters. He said it was worth it to go. Also, it's getting colder over here. It was 39 degrees at Curlew Lake this morning when I went to town.

Good luck........

This is my third year hunting and I'm pretty excited to go. I've only hunted blacktail for the most part. Spent a week in vantage for mules. So i guess its going to be different

Well just wrapped up another weekend at the eder unit. Major disappointment. I was told it would be a very challenging hunt for archery and they were right. Day time highs were around 95 degrees and lows in the high 60's.  Didn't see a damn thing except a coyote. I wish luck for the Muzzys and the rife hunters when the temps get a little better. Will i put in for this hunt again? No i wouldnt, I can say I hunted it once and it was tough.

Thanks; I was wondering what it was like. I consider putting in every year but hadn't heard many good things about it.
