I mounted mine on the X-150 a little rear of the stock rear sight but still in front of the breech... Scope mounts...
My Dad's Wolverine only fit in the very rear scope mounts behind the breech....
I was told I need to mount mine there and his is right and mine is wrong.... First time trying these with no experience.... His sight picture looks too big imho.... Mine looks a lot better imho.... My Dad doesn't even like the sight pic... He has shot his with decent accuracy out to 50 yards but that's it.. I haven't touched mine off yet...

Where exactly are you suppose to mount the Williams peep sights on a Winchester X-150 and a Knight Wolverine???

Most often the peep sight is mounted to the rear as far as possible.

It does take some getting use to... you have to trust that your eye will do a lot of the work for you. your job is to place the front sight on the point of aim and allow your eye to center it in the peep.
To help we with that I use a hooded front fire sight also... the hood helps me think I am kinda looking through a 1x scope.

You can getting tighter rear apertures for the peep but then in low light - light becomes a problem...

The big sight picture shouldn't matter, as your eye would center the front sight in the middle of your peep when you look thru it, regardless of how big the sight picture.
You can also buy other rear aperatures that fit the williams peep and change the size of the opening for a smaller/larger opening. Go to Williams website, or Brownells, to see the other options.
I would suggest the Merit aperature. It is adjustable, and you can set it as large or as small as you like.

You can adjust it just like a stock sight to front sight.... Nothing more... Did we go wrong??? Or is this a good sight as well just different????? I'm almost tempted to put the stock sights back on....

With the Fire sight hood in place the last picture shows you basically what I see...
Note all the targets are sitting on top of the front sight
