Title: Help me pick an area!
Post by: returnofsid on September 03, 2013, 04:59:03 PM
Need help deciding on where to archery elk hunt!  I have a very short elk hunting season.  I get to hunt tomorrow, through Sunday.  During late archery elk, I'll be in school, morning and evening classes so won't be able to do any hunting.

I'm not interested in searching out the "herd Bull," I'll be happy with any elk! The travel trailer is already hooked up and I'll leave Spokane tomorrow, early morning and return Sunday night.

My plan is to find a wide spot in the road, or a dead end spur, and park the travel trailer, making it "base camp."

I'm undecided between the following four areas of NE Washington:
1. Bead Lake Ridge area, between Bead Lake and the Bear Paw area of Idaho.
2. North of Nordman, Priest Lake, on the Washington side, basically between Priest Lake, ID and Sullivan Lake, WA. FS Road 302 and FS Road 22
3. Boyer Mountain
4. Tacoma Creek

Suggestions??
